Deep Sky Studio was founded in 1998 by brothers John and Mark Gilchrist. Two gifted artists whose individual talents are magnified by the others' skill-sets to shape work that was impossible on their own. John is the skill and the passion. He has unmatched technical artistic skills, design fluidity, and social savvy. Mark is the creative and the dreamer. He has highly original, imaginative ideas and unique approaches to their creation. The combination of two has spawned a dynamic outcome on par with Simon and Garfunkle, Peanut Butter and Jelly, and Voltron.

At Deep Sky Studio we see each client as their own individual entity, and help them create a singular, awesome identity within their sphere. We incorporate a myriad of techniques in design, layout, photography, and illustration to achieve these ends. We believe our clients' business is more than clip-art and stock photography. Nearly every piece we create is custom specific to every individual.

Ideas are birthed in the imaginative recesses of our hearts and minds, are inspired by the world around us, and are honed in our collaborative processes. The brothers Gilchrist aspired to work together, to create extraordinary visuals void of cliché, commonness, and crap. With the good genes of talented parents, the encouragement of respected piers, and asinine volume of coffee they have been blessed to do exactly that.
